Can't Wait!

I got tickets to go see the Clippers game tonight VS the Thunder at the Staples Center. 

I am soooo excited, I can't wait. I am not a Clipper fan, I am actually a Laker fan.

I AM NOT A BANDWAGON LET ME CLARIFY!

I just can't go to Laker games cause they are soooo damn pricey! 

So I settle for the next best thing which is the Clippers.

Besides they are also an LA team so it doesn't matter.

My 1st Day at CSULB as a Transfer Student

I guess it wasn't as awkward as I thought it was going to be. I knew my way around campus because I had been there before plenty of times before I was even accepted. However, I did end up skipping the parking lot I needed to go in and all because they blocked the entrance and I didn't see the sign "Lot 16" lol.  

My 1st class went fast... he literally just handed out the syllabus and said a few things. I was in there for maybe ummmmm 15 minutes I think. He has a slight accent and speaks kind of in a soft tone which makes me reconsider the seat I chose. I might have to move a row down in that lecture hall. Not to mention its tiny! I literally began hyperventilating because its so small only holds 80 students and the seats are so close together.... ugh! 

Any who, since like 350-5:26 I had a huge break in which I didn't even eat anything lol... but hopefully this 6pm class goes fast cause this schoolgirl is starving! lol :)! More updates soon!

Who's ready for school?

I am!

I have my Beach Wear on and I printed my temporary parking pass meanwhile it arrives in the mail.

I can't believe I am a CSULB student yet! It seriously hasn't hit me. Hopefully there isn't crazy traffic so that I can look for parking as close as possible and go wander around. I know what building my class is in but I don't know exactly where my class is located.

I really wish that I could have gotten my CSULB hoodie the day of my orientation because now I know the lines are going to be crazy long at the bookstore and honestly, I don't feel like dealing with them lol.

I wonder what this new journey at CSULB has in store for me?

I promise myself I will do my absolute best. No slacking off. No procrastination. 

And to be sincere, excuse the language, absolutely so bullshit.

Well now, its time to hop on that fwy :)

Happy Monday!

Today is a beautiful day in Souther California. 

It's raining! 

I get to wear my zebra print rain boots. 

I love rainy days but it really sucks that I work in my office and the window is on the opposite side of where I have my desk and I don't get to stare out the window as much as I wish I could. I have yet to find a nice looking umbrella. I had a really cute umbrella that I bought to take to NYC when I went in June of 2010 but when I came back I used it once and then I took it out a second time and found it was broken from one metal strip.

And you know how embarrassing it is when your umbrella is all crooked lol.

I really want a transparent bubble umbrella because the wind won't flip that one out but I have yet to find a place with a decent priced one. I am not going to pay over $30 for a umbrella we Souther Californians only use less than 1 month out of the whole year.

Well that's it for today, I will be jumping in some puddles as I walk to my car to go home.

Good Morning!

Today I feel a little tired, I did Zumba last night and I am so out of shape that I was only able to do 5 dances. Some girls tell me thats pretty good and few have said I'm a rookie lol. 

Honestly, I am really out of shape and it kinda bothers me when I hear, "but you are so skinny". People do not understand that I am a tiny bit bigger than what I used to be. When I graduated from High School, I weighed 107 pounds. Three and a half years later, I weigh 147 pounds, 40 POUNDS!!! Yes, I got that jelly belly growing and I'm not liking it one bit. The only great and let me repeat , GREAT, thing about my weight gain is my butt! :) I love, love, love my butt right now. My Levi's look sooo good on me!

Sadly, I do realize that I need to lose about 10 pounds and get fit because if I go up two flights of stairs fast I go out of breath. Not good at all lol. I started power juicing and drinking protein shakes and take my Daily Multi Vitamins plus my "Supreme Greens" UGH GROSS! But my mom knows best and she said, "If you don't lose the belly fat now when you are still young, its going to be twice as hard to lose it when you get older"

So, BELLY FAT BE GONE!

Today I start eating and exercising my way to become HEALTY... NOT SKINNY! I love that I gained weight and I am NOT trying to lose it because I feel fat, I am just not at a healthy stage right now and I WANT to get healthy, so I might keep updates if I do good :)

Wow!

It's been such a busy week for me! I've have to fill many orders for my online store and at work I've been doing a lot of things too. Plus I am working on my sister's Quinceaera invitations and I have a lot of things to do for my online store. I need to do as much as I can because on Tuesday I start school at CSULB :)

As soon as I start I know I will have less time to do many of the things I do specially because I will start going to the gym, I need to get in shape cause these huge love handles are not the business lol.

Nothing more to share, I just have to try and post every weekday :)

TGIF!

I really need a break... it's been a pretty crazy week. I just want to relax this weekend, oh... and celebrate my cousins beautiful daughter Valentina's 1st bday <3 She is sooo adorable and very sweet. She doesn't cry and loves to smile and laugh. She is the type of baby everyone wants to hold.

I am excited for that but don't know what to wear... Its going to be about 74 degrees tomorrow so I might wear a dress... lets see what happens.

Feeling a little blue....

Last night an old friend Francisco Rodriguez or as we called him, "Panchito" was shot and killed in front of his house. He was a high school senior and part of the soccer team there. He was liked by all since he was so friendly. Unfortunately his life was cut short. I can remember I used to make fun of him because I thought his smile was to big for his small face. Now no one will see that smile again. 

He is in a better place now but I ask that you keep his family in your prayers so that they can overcome this difficult time.

My SOAR Orientation & David Benoit

As some of you may know, I recently applied to transfer to CSULB and I got accepted, yay! I was very excited to go to my orientation. I just hated that I had to take a day off of work in order to go because it was from 8am-5pm.

My morning started off great. I woke up on time, (5am) hopped in the shower mind you it was going to be like 53 degrees that morning lol. I made myself breakfast and packed a small snack. So I drove to CSULB and there was no traffic since it was so early in the morning. The SOAR office had not sent me the parking pass for the day so I figured I could go a little early and get a pass.

I got there about 45 minutes early and at that point I knew the only reason why I felt extra frozen was because my hair was wet lol. Any who, I got my pass and had to move my car from the meter at parking lot 17 to parking lot 14C. Then walked all the way back to Brotman Hall. As I made line, one of the assistants handed each transfer student a CSULB folder with lots of flyers and information pamphlets in it. We had to fill out a form in order to get our CSULB Student ID. Then as they checked me in, I had to make a name tag then walked to the lecture hall for the opening session.

It was quick with some introductions and short speeches from the ASI president and a few other people. Then a short slideshow went on showing the first college which was of engineers and the man asked for the ones with that major to go out and meet the tour guides. Then they called the college of Human Services, which included my major Child Development and Family Studies.

We got a tour of the campus that took about 1 hour which was really boring to me because I already knew the campus since my boyfriend is a former student. Any who, when I was by the library I got to meet Mr. David Benoit he is a famous pianist, composer and producer and host of KJAZZ in the mornings. I shook his hand and introduced myself. He is very nice and a bit jittery, maybe cause he was drinking coffee lol.  After the tour, they took us to the Business and Administration lecture hall and at our seat there was a CSULB planner with 3 sheets: a survey about the SOAR orientation, SOAR Transfer Registration Form and the SOAR CSULB General Education Worksheet.

They had a powerpoint presentation, then gave us more information and we did an activity in which we had to team up in groups of 5 or so and come up with questions so that they could answer them for us. After that we got ready for lunch.

El Pollo Loco was catering for the day and we had a choice of a Pollo Bowl or a Veggie Bowl. I got a Pollo Bowl and went to sit outside in the warm sun with a girl I met at the orientation. We walked up to the bookstore to go take out pictures for our CSULB Student ID and then walked around looking for cool Beach wear. I got myself two t-shirts and will be going back to pick up my hoodie soon!

At 12:50 pm we had to be back at the lecture hall. At that point the assistants handed out our SOAR Preliminary Transfer Credit Summary and the advisors handed each of us a personalized Major requirements Worksheet. Then we were able to get up and look for the open classes and build our schedule.

I had already done some research on what classes I needed and built a possible class schedule. Luckily only one of the four classes I had picked was closed. I had to replace it with another class.

I went to the computer lab at the Horn Center and got my classes then I was able to go home at 2:30.

So now I am officially a CSULB Student <3

Yes, its true.

It's been a month!

I can't believe I have not posted anything in over a month! I guess I just got caught up with all of the xmas shopping, wrapping, cooking and cleaning. But it is all over now so I have to get back in the habit of posting. 

How was your Xmas and New Years celebration? I have a great time Xmas eve and day but New Years was very BLAH lol.

I hosted a contest on my BellaKoritaNails FB Fan Page and the winner got to customize a glitter acrylic that will be added to the store this week plus her name is included on the label and name of the acrylic.
